Central Baptist Church

Annual 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament

The Central Baptist Church 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament was first held in 2002 with 16 teams and since 2003 has seen an average of 32 teams participate each year.  Games are played in the gymnasium of Central Christian Academy and New England Baptist College, both ministries of Central Baptist Church in Southington, CT. Concessions are available during the tournament. All proceeds from concessions sales benefit the senior class of Central Christian Academy.

2007- Up Dog (Brian Burbach, Wade Anderson, Dave Sontag, Todd Wilkins)

2006- Waterbury (Ben Aleksinas, Jay Johnson, Will Stenson, Darius Stallings)

2005- Klingsberg Kids (Bill Halkias, Derek Glasper, Mike Peterson, Dan Zullo)

2004- Outsiders (Joel Miller, Steve Ciarcia, Kevin Flemming)

2003- Patriots (Scott Matney, Sean Reddington, Steve Gemmell, Chris Codeanne)

2002- Hickory (Ben Matney, Matt Bassell, Chris Dutilly, Jon Nelson)

The tournament also includes a brief but meaningful Biblical challenge, in a sports context, geared toward men.  Past speakers have included:
